Pay Your Bill

The City of Valley Springs offers several convenient ways to pay your utility bill, including online payments, in person, by mail, or via our secure City Drop Box. Choose the payment option that works best for you.

Online Payments

Pay your utility bill anytime through our secure online payment portal. The portal is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and allows you to:

Make one-time payments using a credit or debit card.
Enroll in automatic payments so your utility bill is paid on time each month.
Manage your utility account and payment information online.

Pay in Person

Payments may be made in person at Valley Springs City Hall during regular business hours. We accept cash, check, and other accepted forms of payment.

Pay by Mail

Checks may be mailed to:

Please allow sufficient mailing time to ensure your payment is received by the due date.

Drop Box

For your convenience, a secure payment drop box is located outside City Hall. Payments deposited after business hours will be processed on the next business day.

Payment Policies

Utility bills are due on the 20th of each month.
A $10 late fee will be assessed on payments received after the due date.
If you are experiencing difficulty making a payment, please contact City Hall as soon as possible. We are happy to discuss your options and answer any questions you may have.
Returned checks may be subject to an additional fee.

Additional Info

The base monthly utility charge is $98.50. This amount is billed to every property with an active water meter and includes up to 2,000 gallons of water usage each month. If your household uses more than 2,000 gallons during the billing period, any additional water usage will be billed according to the City's current usage rates.

Please note that your monthly utility bill reflects the previous month's water usage. For example, the bill you receive in August covers your water usage during July.

Upcoming Water Bill Increases

To help fund the continued maintenance and improvement of Valley Springs' water and sewer infrastructure, utility rates will increase over the next 18 months according to the following schedule:

July 2026: $10 increase
January 2027: $20 increase
June 2027: $20 increase

Please note that the rate and schedule may be changed at any time by the City Commissioners by way of Resolution. For more information on these changes, please see Resolution #2026-10 or stop in City Hall to pick up a physical copy.
