Valley Springs Branch Siouxland Library
The Valley Springs Branch Library has been a part of the community for more than 50 years. The library first opened in 1973 in the back of the Valley Springs Fire Hall, providing residents with a local place to access books, educational resources, and community services. As the needs of the community grew, the library relocated in 2006 to its current home at 401 Broadway.
The current library building holds a unique piece of Valley Springs history. Originally built as a bank, the building’s former vaults remain intact, making the Valley Springs Branch the only Siouxland Libraries location featuring original bank vaults. Today, the library continues to serve as a gathering place for residents, preserving the community’s history while providing opportunities for learning, connection, and discovery for generations to come.
