Mandala Rock Art

When:

Library

Explore the history, meaning, and artistic traditions of mandalas in this first hands-on program of the Art Skills Workshop series. Participants will learn about the origins of mandalas and how these intricate circular designs have been used across different cultures as symbols of balance, harmony, spirituality, and connection.

After exploring the history and visual elements of mandala art, participants will learn basic techniques for designing and creating their own mandala-inspired artwork. Using a smooth rock as their canvas, they will experiment with patterns, symmetry, shapes, colors, and repetition to create a unique piece of rock art.

No experience necessary, all materials provided.
