Fire Department

Since May 6, 1889, the Valley Springs Fire Department has proudly served and protected the residents of Valley Springs. As a dedicated volunteer fire department, its members generously give their time and expertise to help keep our community safe.

The department is made up of highly trained volunteer firefighters, including EMTs, paramedics, first responders, and certified weather spotters. Every member is a certified firefighter with varying levels of training and experience, ensuring the department is prepared to respond to a wide range of emergencies.

In addition to responding to fire emergencies, the Valley Springs Fire Department assists with injury accident calls, provides emergency medical support, and offers mutual aid to neighboring communities when additional resources are needed. Department members participate in monthly business meetings and regular training sessions to maintain their skills and stay prepared for any situation.

The City of Valley Springs is grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and selfless service of the men and women of the Valley Springs Fire Department. Their commitment to protecting lives and property has been a cornerstone of our community for well over a century.
