American Legion Post 131
The Charles R. Dorman American Legion Post 131 has proudly served the Valley Springs community since it was organized shortly after the end of World War I. For more than a century, the Post has honored the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans while supporting local youth, schools, civic organizations, and community initiatives. The current Legion Hall, completed in 1973, serves as both the home of Post 131 and a valued gathering place for residents, hosting meetings, celebrations, fundraisers, and other community events throughout the year.
Today, Post 131 continues its mission of service through veteran support, patriotic programs, youth activities, and community involvement. The Legion Hall is available to rent for public and private events, making it an important venue for gatherings in Valley Springs. To learn more about the American Legion or to inquire about renting the Legion Hall, please contact Commander Rick Larsen at 605-553-5990.
